Great Smokey Moutains

We left Pigeon Forge this morning and headed to the Great Smokey Mountains National Park, which is just a few miles from town. After walking through the visitors’ center we decided drive southeast through the park, which took us across the border into North Carolina. While this added a couple hours to our short drive today, it was worth it.

We made it to Jim’s aunt and uncle’s house near Johnson City, Tennessee for dinner and a relaxing evening … and a few fireworks.

Happy 4th of July!
