East Tennessee - Family and Friends

After a great night and delicious waffle breakfast at Ed and Vic’s we headed up the road a bit to visit a former student.  Salvador and his family also live in East Tennessee. It was a quick stop but so nice to meet his boys and see him and his wife again.

Grandma Walby lives just a bit further up the road in Bristol. Since we were driving by we stopped for a photo at the Bristol Motor Speedway.

After visiting with Grandma for a short while we went to pick up some of the “best BBQ in Bristol” to eat with a Grandma. It was pretty good.

After the BBQ late-lunch we spent a couple more hours visiting. Then we shoved off for a two-hour drive to our hotel for the night in Roanoke, VA. It rained the whole drive, but not heavy enough to cause issues.

It was fairly early but we were both beat so we hunkered down for the night. We will actually begin a big u-turn tomorrow and begin the journey west towards home, but not without a few more stops.
